Each year, Welo Studio comes alive with educational activity!  Students converge on the studio, eager to learn about printmaking.  The eight-week etching class takes place on Saturdays beginning the second weekend in January.  If you are interested in learning about traditional line etching, aquatint, soft ground, drypoint, and more, this may be a class that you will enjoy.  Each class session begins at 9 a.m. with a demonstration.  The demonstration is followed by studio time, which lasts until 2 p.m.  Copper plates, etching needles, printing paper, and use of the equipment are provided.  If you think that winter lasts too long, this will speed it up!   The class size is small, and much individual attention is provided.  Please call or e-mail for details.

For those already accomplished in the art of etching, I have been making my studio available on Mondays.  For a fee, it is possible to use my etching equipment.  Supplies are not provided.  Please contact me for details.
